But if my suspicion is right… and someone out there is pulling levers against a real-world player for actions taken inside the metaverse… that would break what I call the Existential Protocol of the Metaverse . Why? Because a virtual world should run by its own in-game rules, free from real-life retaliation. If the company itself acted against a player for their in-game politics or narrative, it wouldn’t just be unfair — it would shatter the trust that keeps a virtual world alive....
